STEP TWO: BAPTISM

We at Cedar Spring Baptist practice believer’s baptism.  We believe that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Baptism is an act of obedience that symbolizes the believer’s faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior.  Baptism represents the believer’s death to sin, the burial of their old life, and their symbolic resurrection to a new life in Christ Jesus.  Baptism is a testimony to our faith in the final resurrection of the dead.  Baptism is required for church membership at Cedar Spring Baptist Church.
